TI-84 Graphing Calculators decrease anxiety and help to reassure students of the work they are doing.
COVID-19 has impacted all of us, especially our students. Our students education is at stake. I have been given the opportunity to teach mathematics to some amazing students in grades 9-12. Help me provide calculators to many students in need. Help me to ensure their success in mathematics while learning from home.
Normally every one of my students has the opportunity to use a calculator in my class, but the pandemic has taken that away and now, many of my students are struggling. The calculator provides access and opportunity to all my students to succeed in high school math.
The students I have in my classes come from single parent homes, foster homes, shelter, etc. These calculators can be used throughout high school and college math.
My school strives to build a community in which students and teachers help one another. Every student has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. The students in my class strive for respect in everything they do. When in need, they come to me to talk and where to direct them for help. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all.
