My students want to learn about chalk pastels, become better acrylic painters, and learn to do projects with a heat gun and plaster strips. Art supplies are expensive, but I feel that my students deserve the chance to be more competitive with students in other districts by providing them with some nicer supplies. I am able to fund our basic supplies that students use everyday with my school budget but there just is not enough of a budget for everything we need.
My students are excited for the opportunity to learn about different types of techniques and supplies that they might not otherwise have the chance to try. I want to be able to expose them to as many materials as I can during their time in my class.
