My students are practicing sight word recognition. I have used flash cards, games, and center activities. However, my goal is to transfer sight word recognition to reading. The library at my school has a very limited selection of kindergarten books. With these leveled readers in our classroom, I could use these books during small group instruction. The kids could practice reading a book independently that is on their level! They are excited about learning, and these books would put their sight word recognition to the test.
