My students love Harry Potter almost as much as I do. I read the first book in the series to them last year and they're HOOKED! We have a Harry Potter themed classroom and we've been sorted into our houses and now we want to READ! They have been begging me to read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets this year! However, being in 3rd grade now there is a big push from administration for students to have the text in hand. Our school is entirely free and reduced lunch and I cannot ask every family to purchase this book for their child. We will be doing a novel study using Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. My students will be thrilled to read this book and their skills will improve significantly because they are invested in this magical world. We can't wait to learn more about Harry, his friends, and their fight against evil!
