Students will learn how to knit hats and scarves. The products that we knit will be donated to local shelters and even to families in need in our building. We are a full-service community school that is a pillar in our community. Many members of the community come to our school for resources and support. We provide clothes and warm coats in the winter.
The students will create their projects with these knitting needles and yarn. The purpose is that all of their hard work will go to people in need. The children are learning and the local community is benefiting. Students are learning and craft and how to be altruistic at the same time.
