Imagine the excitement of 26 first graders when they found out we were inheriting a class set of iPads from the third grade. Although they are older and used, my first graders could hardly contain the excitement of having an iPad assigned to them. My students use their iPads on a daily basis to take Accelerated Reader tests, which is independent reading quizzes, that increases fluency and comprehension.
Imagine the frustration when half my class can not reach their assigned tablet on the charging cart that is designed for older kids.
They will use the iPad charging cart daily as they manage their assigned tablet to take AR quizzes, research for their informative writing, or use the tablet for enrichment. A charging cart that is more compact and suitable for six and seven year olds will help teach them responsibility, classroom organization, and will save sacred instructional minutes.
