My students need access to technology within our classroom. Currently students attend computer special one time per week for a 50 min block. They are limited to a single math program during this time. I want my students to have access to a wide variety of learning resources, or applications.
I would like to use the iPads as a "center" time during small group reading instruction. Students will use science, reading, and math apps chosen by me that tie the content into the standards I am currently teaching. Each student will have access to the iPad center 2x per week, greatly increasing their exposure to this type of technology.
