The materials requested will be used to create a wide variety of independent task boxes for our classroom. Task boxes will be used during independent 1:1 time and for a variety of small group work throughout the day. They will help students to be hands-on and engaged in their learning and also provide them with a sense of independence.
Task Boxes are perfect for promoting independence in the special education classroom!
Individual task boxes will be created and tailored to each student’s specific level, learning goals and needs. The task boxes will focus on IEP goals, math, ELA and basic skills ( color matching, basic shapes, emotions, weather, clothing, food, seasons and animals etc.). Laminating sheets and Velcro will help to ensure the activities be used over and over again.
