Throughout the past six months, I have learned that my students are VERY active and LOVE being outside to get their body moving. As a class, we have found a new interest in gardening vegetables in our school garden. To kick start our gardening unit, I have included a gardening book and seeds to start planting in August!
My students also love getting their wiggles out during PE time! To support this, I have included multiple physical education equipment for my students to use during P.E. Equipment includes basic equipment such as cones, balls, bean bags, and more! I have also included team bonding equipment including three legged race bands, and a parachute. Participating in team bonding activities allows my students to build their social skills.
Lastly, for the time being spent in the classroom, I have asked for fidget toys. This continues to allow my students to be active in the classroom. In addition, I have added sensory items, such as Floof! My students got to test it out, and absolutely love it. It is a soothing activity they can do during free time! I have also included a book that can be read the first week of school to help develop rules for the classroom.
