With the recent budget cuts and change in curriculum, students do not have books or materials available to them to take home as reference and a source of study materials. The interactive notebooks allows parents to assist with assignments nightly. Something as simple as paper, pencils, and a pencil sharpeners should not be the reason why students are disengaged and unsuccessful. Interactive notebooks are fun and engaging but require the replenishment of supplies often. After the significant progress made last year, this year we are continuing our interactive notebooks. These books are away to keep students highly engaged in a content area which could possibly be boring. Interactive notebooks allows students to tap into their multiple intelligence in a fun and engaging way while learning difficult and abstract ideas in math and science
