Due to Covid-19, I am currently teaching my young readers two days each week and they are learning from home three days a week. I am working hard to develop their ability to blend words and to read leveled books. I also enjoy reading aloud to my students to model reading fluency and to discuss story elements. Not only do these read-aloud teach my students the necessary reading skills, but they foster excitement about reading.
These fun, winter-themed books will proved each of my students and their families with materials they can use over the winter break to continue read-aloud time and to practice the reading strategies we are learning in class.
Being able to gift my students with books of their very own will allow me to strengthen the bond I have with my students and their families, and allow them to reinforce those reading strategies we have been learning in class.
