I would love to use an iPad in my classroom because it will greatly help my struggling readers, my student with a hearing impairment, and my students who are struggling with language acquisition. I find that the apps that are available to children can help with cognitive learning problems and have tools that are built into the system that can help with these things. (ie. speak auto-text, white on black, voice over, and voice recognition technology). I also think that the iPad’s design will make it easy for my students to navigate, therefore optimizing the learning experience of all students.
Students can also use apps on the iPad to create their own stories and focus on their creativity.
Students can access Powtoons, where they can use voice, media, and words to tell and make their own stories or presentations. Donations made to my classroom will be extremely appreciated and used daily to help improve my classroom. I cannot tell you how happy it would make my students to experience a type of hands-on learning.
