I am a certified English as a New Language (ENL) teacher, and I currently co-teach in two classrooms. All of my students are English Language Learners. This means that my students speak another language other than English as their first language. It is my job to teach them to read, write, listen and speak in English. One classroom has 25 kindergarten students. The other classroom has 15 Special Education Students who are in both kindergarten and first grade. My classroom is in a Title I building which is in a very low-income area and many of my students struggle with difficult situations outside of school. It is my mission and my job to make school a safe place for my students to learn and grow. I absolutely love what I do!
