After looking for ways to engage and create fun learning experiences for my students, I thought about how Jenga might be useful in my classroom setting. Many of my students are kinesthtic learners (many of them are boys) and need lessons that allow them to move around. Due to the fact that my classroom sizes are of 30 students, sometimes having students walk around the classroom can be quite challenging. Jenga would be the perfect addition to my classroom.
I plan to use Jenga by having a number assigned to each block. Each number will have a question that the student will have to read, answer, and write down. This activity will fulfill all four domains of common core for upper grades, which are Speaking & Listening, Reading & Writing.
