At our high school, we encounter students who lack motivation and are not engaged. We have students who have issues and responsibilities at home. These issues range from having to work, social/economic problems, and broken homes. These issues negatively affect their performance at school.
As a teacher, I look for ways to make connections with my students to keep them engaged and motivated to learn mathematics. I hope my classroom creates an environment where students feel safe and enjoy learning mathematics.
Chromebooks will be a valuable tool to help students who lack motivation and are not engaged. The technology will allow students to connect with the curriculum, give opportunities to reteach materials, and enjoy the subject of mathematics.
