No one likes to read text they don't understand or that has been assigned - UNLESS it's funny, stimulating and a page-turner! My students need encouragement to read grade-level text. However, they need to be supported in class so their confidence grows.
I want to read alongside my students, and prove to them they CAN increase their vocabulary, comprehension skills and grow in confidence and ABSOLUTELY CAN read more than a ten-page book! I am requesting sets of three different books. These books are at grade level. The stories are intended to pull the students in, so they can't resist! My devious plan will work!!
