My students are very interested and excited to start working on interactive notebooks! The goal with these is that they don't have to worry about reading the textbook, and all crucial information they need will live in their notebooks! The notebooks are to remain in class, and only leave unless absolutely necessary.
The notebooks will be used for EVERYTHING, no assignment will be done outside of the notebook. It should be something like the US History/CRCI holy book. All you need to pass this class is in your palms, without the extras we see in the textbook. The notebooks are meant to be a creative outlet for the kids, to make history less boring and much more fun and engaging for the students. My students need everything to finish their Interactive Notebooks: tape, markers, crayons, colored pencils, sticky note tabs to keep us organized and SCISSORS! The more engaged and interested they are in creating their best notebook, their chance in passing their state exams to graduate this year becomes much greater!
