My Students
Coming from an impoverished area, my students face many challenges in life, but school is a welcomed break for these students. My students come to school excited to learn! The students at our school have so much life to them and make every day interesting and enjoyable. Outside of school, they face many challenges. Some of these challenges include figuring out where their next meal will come from or how they will get clothes that fit. Many times I find myself providing clothing or food to my students and being unable to get classroom supplies that would benefit them in trying to close the achievement gap. Our school is Title 1 with 100 percent of the students receiving free breakfast and lunch.
