Everybody deserves the proper equipment to ensure they have the best opportunity to learn. I have taught at this school for a few years and the equipment they have is generally old and/or out-dated most of the time. Currently, there are little to no funds for upgrades in the physical education department, which means that there are few games that we can actually teach. As such, a lot of these kids believe that no one really cares about them and their education. I hope to change this false notion and prove that they are worth so much and that there are many people who care about what they are doing now and in the future. When given the right circumstances, these are hard-working kids. They are very accepting and friendly. Many of them have a desire to go to college, but are unsure if they can actually do it. I know with the right environment we can show them that they can achieve greatness.
