In our second grade classroom, students are learning and fine-tuning their math and reading skills. The best way for them to grow and master these skills is in a small group setting. In the small group setting I am able to meet with a few students at a time and meet their individual needs and model skills directed to their personal learning style.
Having a horseshoe table will allow me to meet with my students and give them the personal attention that they need in order to succeed and be the best they can be. The horseshoe table will be used during math and reading instruction.
A horseshoe table will enable me to model reading and math strategies, provide immediate support, and assist my kids in maintaining their focus on learning. The horse-shoe table will be used during our small group times. It would allow me to meet with up to 6 students in small groups to allow me to meet their different learning styles and individual needs.
I am asking for funding for a horseshoe table to help my kids shine and grow in second grade.
