These materials will be used in the Life Readiness classroom to teach high school special needs students different job skills and daily living skills to help them become independent, productive citizens. These items will be used to make hands-on work tasks such as money management, construction, stocking, sorting, janitorial, etc. The supplies will help keep their work areas clean and organized and enhance their skills for employment in areas such as factory, automotive, clerical, food service, horticulture, retail, child care, animal care, housekeeping, patient care and building. Our classroom also focuses on social skills and independence to make each child well-rounded and capable of taking care of their own needs presently and in the future.
