One of the side walls of our classroom is unusable and simply a waste of space. I have tried many different products so that I can use this space for showing student work. Another teacher recently solved this dilemma in her own classroom and shared the solution with me.
We need rolls of quarter-inch cork board so that we can display students' work. This size of cork board rolls will allow me to show off each child's incredible art, math, and writing work. The students will be so proud to see their work displayed for parents and visitors to see. We will be able to change the board monthly as our learning grows and changes.
In addition, we need a Place Value Dice set for our place value unit. I want to use these dice to help students engage in hands-on, meaningful learning. They will learn expanded notation, standard form and picture form of numbers. To me, students learn more when they are engaged and having fun.
