I'm putting together at least four different boxes of materials together to theme my dramatic play. The items on my list will help complete these boxes so the kids can have something new and different to experience and use language.
The little black baby doll that we have is missing a leg! We need a new one. Also, the babies are all naked. I'd like to give them clothes and diapers and bottles for the kids to use. These materials will go in our box labeled "babies/nursery."
The food will go in the box labeled "restaurant/grocery store." There are also several items that can be used to add diversity to our dramatic play. The costumes and different diverse foods will add to the culture we have in our classroom and to hopefully give the kids something familiar to talk about.
I also asked for trucks that go with our programs C4L Curriculum. We teach the kids about recycling, and dump trucks are featured in a lot of our books.
