My students have yet to find books they are in love with, partly because I don't have much of a variety for them to choose from. We also don't have class sets of books, therefore, we are unable to do literature circles. My goal is for my students is for them to fall in love with a genre and the best way to do that is to offer them a variety of books. Books such as Wonder and 1984. I plan on introducing my students to some books that I believe would be interesting to them, but they wouldn't necessarily pick it up to read themselves. By doing this I am encouraging them to pick up books to read on their own in the future. Students will only fall in love with reading once they find something they love to read, my job is to help them in the process.
