These Wonder books will be used as a class novel study. We will then write a play about the book to share with others in our school. We will create our own costumes and backdrops and props. The children are very excited about this project, and I'm sure they will be touched as they read the heartwarming story. This book will be a positive way to reinforce the importance of treating our classmates and others with respect, and also a reminder that every word we speak can either lift others up or can easily tear them down. We will focus not only on the literary aspect of the book, but also on using it to help us all become better people.
The chair band will be a start to a classroom collection to keep our students engaged in learning. We know that movement is a key to learning.
