Having these Chromebooks will allow my students to learn and explore with technology. By getting computers in their hands early, they will be better-equipped learners down the road.
In room 44 we use a wide range of programs that are internet based to access books for reading, practice phonics skills, and work on math concepts. Having these Chromebooks will make those programs more accessible to my students daily. They will get more time to explore and learn independently and in groups with the use of these chrome books.
Another reason the chrome books will be a great asset to our class is by allowing the students to get practice with technology. We have formative assessments we take three times a year that are on computers. A lot of my students have not used a computer until they enter my classroom. I want them to be able to learn how to use computers, so they feel more confident when it comes to testing on them.
