One area in which my students struggle is speaking and comprehending English. We have students from many countries. These students come from families that speak no English in their homes. Many times the only English they hear and speak is at school. I want to provide them the opportunity to listen and speak in English. Having over 20 students speaking at one time could be very loud and quite distracting. It would be hard to have the students record themselves with so much noise in the background. Microphones would help cancel out the background noise. I would like students to listen to stories from fiction to nonfiction. I would like them to listen to songs that engage them and get them actively envolved in learning math, science, reading, and much more. I would like for my students to respond to questions using the microphones and even have discussions about the topics they are learning.
