Math is one of the most important subjects in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to engaging and complex questions, problems, or challenges.
My students need to think on a higher grade level so they need the laptops to help with their computation and enhance their critical thinking skills.
They also need to practice their math fluency so that they are able to multiply quicker. My students have a love for Math but at the moment we only have two computers to use for the entire class. These resources would help give my students individualized attention in Math. They will use the resources during math to help with their multiplication fluency. The multiplication fluency has been a challenge for them after Hurricane Maria. The students that have been displaced are our priority. We don't want them to be left behind.
My students share a keen interest for many different things that are restricted due to the lack of technology. These materials will allow them to be exposed to more complex problem solving skills, and in turn become more proficient in Math.
