The students will benefit from having a classroom rug that is spacious enough for all students, and the letters will be helpful for students to have a designated area that will also serve as a classroom management/seating chart.
The rug will be used at various times of the day and is a special area for gathering for learning and class discussions. The rug will be used for center activities, whole group discussions, class meeting, story time, games, small group activities, copying from the board, viewing projected activities and various other activities. In early learning classrooms, the rug area builds a sense of community and makes learning more up close and personal versus students seating at tables.
