With the right equipment, it’s never been easier to share what we do in the art room with others - whether it's blogs and online portfolios or classroom websites and social media sites, there are infinite ways to use technology to promote our art programs. But, almost all of these strategies also require the same teacher time consuming task: capturing photographs of student artwork.
With this new equipment, instead of personally sacrificing hours of my potential planning time, I will now be able to turn the responsibility of classroom photography over to my students! The National Art Standards specifically ask teachers to help students “interpret and share artistic work” through the “Presenting” standard by documenting & sharing their artwork. By letting the students document their work & upload it to online galleries, they will be able to share their work with others on a different level.
