The GoPiGo starter kits will allow my 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students to have the experience of building and programming their own robots. In addition, these kits will work seamlessly with the other technology that we currently have in the STEAM program. They will use our Chromebooks to write the code needed to program these kits. They will also be able to use their 3D design skills to design attachments for the robots that they can then print with our 3D printer and add to their robots to increase the functionality of their builds!
These kits will provide our low-income students with years of high-quality engaging projects and will help them to develop the skills they will need to be successful in the 21st century. This project is an investment in their future. By working with these tools, and following the Engineering Design Process, we will truly be preparing students to succeed in a future where technology, innovation, and creative problem solving will be the most important assets they can have.
