Our school is a class A school in Arkansas. We have approximately 450 students K-12. We have a large population of LEP students who are not reading on grade level. The only area we are on school improvement for is literacy. We need books that our students can connect to that will make them become successful readers. High interest low level books can achieve this goal because they are not too difficult for the students to read. Once they have success with these books, they have the confidence to move on to more challenging titles.
