Kids are energetic and enjoy moving around. To appeal to their need, I am implementing flexible seating within my classroom. The storage unit will allow me to remove some bookshelves while also providing seating for students. The lap desks can be used by students who wish not to sit at a traditional desk. The stretch bands will go on the base of the chairs for those students who prefer to sit in a chair but still need some kind of movement. The cushions will be used so kids can use them at a chair or if they choose to sit on the floor.
Everyone learns best in a different environment. My goal is to provide my students with a variety of work space options so they can learn where they work best.
