My students need more meaningful materials for our science area. Our school recently adopted a new curriculum and we need materials that will relate directly to the new studies.
My students are so eager to see every detail while learning about their surroundings. During our recent tree study we went on a nature walk and my students were so enthusiastic to use binoculars and magnifying lenses. Being able to bring specimens back to the classroom and view them with a digital microscope with guided discovery in the science area will help ensure that they can see all of the details and have the opportunity to revisit discoveries as more questions arise.
Children who are dual language learners need additional opportunities for language development. Having real life objects available to them throughout our classroom gives us opportunities to expand vocabulary and build a bridge between their Home Language and English.
