For my project, I chose a new carpet from Lakeshore that will seat up to 30 students for our morning meetings, circle times, lessons, and other classroom activities.
Having a new class carpet will be such a breath of fresh air! We are beginning to use Restorative Justice circles, that take place on our classroom carpet. Students do a great job listening to friends but I know they will do even better when not given to opportunity to pick at tape on a very old and worn carpet.
I believe this new carpet will really make our classroom environment look and feel more comfortable.
