I'm requesting a Hitachi StarBoard interactive whiteboard to practice the concepts that we're learning in class. I have used one of these in my old school but had to leave it when I transferred schools.
My students love to use technology, so instead of dreading being called to the board, they volunteered to come up and work problems. This board allows three students to work independently at the same time. This helps the student not feel so isolated when they are working on problems and they can also collaborate and ask each other for help.
This board also works with Hitachi Software that has special tools for Math. I can use the Hitachi software for learning math shapes. The shapes are much easier to draw and it is much more precise.
