In our 11th Grade United States History classes we create a lot of projects to illustrate the colorful past of our great nation. However, there never seems to be enough art supplies to go around because of the size of our classes. As such, we would really love a case of colorful assorted markers, packs of colored pencils, plus rulers to help keep our lines really straight!
These artistic tools will help my students demonstrate their content knowledge and their creativity as we seek to learn more about the American past, present, and future!
Next month we will be working on a lesson called "Immigration Theater" in which the students act out the journey through Ellis Island. As a part of their assignment, they create Broadway-style posters to advertise their play. The donated art supplies will help make these posters even more spectacular.
