I am a first year English teacher in a school with many language learners and struggling readers. The best way to foster a love of reading is access to great books, and that is why I'm trying to build a classroom library that's truly "lit"! My students get excited when we get new books, but have read almost all of my books now, as we start every class period with reading time. That's right, EVERY class period! My students are permitted to pick any book they wish, so a diverse set is important as I have a very broad variety of levels and interest amongst my 106 students. Thank you for your support, it makes a an immense difference in the lives of students!
