Many of my students challenge submitting their school work because they do not have a printer at home. Also, it is not uncommon to have our school printer out of service. This issue is faced by many students almost on a weekly basis. Moreover, when the school printer works, it only prints in black/white and students have to spend additional time coloring their images.
I teach in a Title I school where having access to pencils and highlighters is a struggle.
My students do many hands-on projects that require them to have access to a computer and a printer for their projects.
