My Third Grade class was fortunate to have an amazing SMART Board in our class. A SMART Board broadcasts information from a laptop onto an interactive screen but, my problem is that we do not have a laptop computer necessary to utilize the SMART Board. The SMART board is just a large white board in front of my classroom for the students to look at. They constantly ask when they will be able to use it to learn new and exciting things. I teach eager students who enjoy interactive activities. There are 32 students in the class with various learning needs. Our school is an elementary magnet school of the Chicago Public Schools offering students a choice of five world languages. Spanish, German, French, Italian or Chinese.
