The addition of seven chromebooks to our classroom will make all the difference in the world. I currently have thirty students and eight chromebooks. We use those chromebooks every day during station time. I rotate small groups through a “technology station” in both math and language arts. I also use chromebooks for game based learning through applications like ST Math and Lexia. My current ratio of chromebooks is around 4-1 (students to chromebooks). While I am greatful for the chromebooks that we have, this ratio makes it very difficult to assign technology based projects.
With these new chromebooks I can create more engaging, technology driven projects for my student. Adding seven more chromebooks will create a 2-1 ratio of students to chromebooks within my classroom. I will be able to use our chromebooks for partner research reports, Google Classroom, digital art, studying for tests, typing practice, formative assessments, and so much more. I am a young and excited teacher with a large desire to create a 21st century learning environment for my students. I would be so appreciative of the opportunity to supply my kids with these essential resources.
