We are frequently asked by parents for suggestions of things they can do with their children at home to prepare them for Kindergarten. We would like to set up a Family Involvement program that uses "Take Home Bags." Each backpack would include specific activities that target literacy, math, and fine-motor skills. Our plan is to eventually have enough backpacks so that each child can take one home weekly. Our hope is to provide families with fun, hands-on, and interactive activities that do not use technology or worksheets. We would include an explanation of the rationale behind each activity, as well as provide specific modifications or accommodations to maximize student growth and individual success.
