My classroom is comprised of 52 students from generally low SES homes in rural West Virginia. Most are 1st generation low income with limited exposure beyond their Appalachian setting.
I teach two sections of freshman Earth Science and one section of Environmental Science. These classes have similar themes around environmental stewardship and form the basis for a growing environmental program in our school.
