Students were tasked with redesigning their classroom to have more flexible seating options that would allow them more choice in how and where they work. Students would be able to sit on the floor with their groups to work on projects or have discussions.
The hope is that this flexibility would make our classroom a more comfortable place and allow students to engage in the learning in a deeper way. Students want to feel connected to their classroom and feel as though the classroom support their varied learning styles.
Having different seating options would allow them more choice in where they sit and how they sit--based on how they feel they would work best.
