The students that I mentor are in need of so much more. The smallest thing such as being late can throw off their whole day. As a well-connected teacher, I make sure my students sit and eat at least a handful of crackers before switching classes. This is the time that we exchange dialogue and I let them color/draw so that I can gauge how they are feeling.
My girls are the QUEENS of leaving things inside of the classroom, in my car, and in my house. The bags will help them keep up with their extra materials such as practice clothes, phones, hygiene products, homework, do-dads and lipgloss. I am teaching my babies responsibility and its hard to tell them to keep up with their things if they don't, in fact, have a way to carry it.
