By giving my students access to high interest leveled books not just in the classroom, but also at home will help foster a love for reading. The need for them to be able to take books home is very important. Access to the leveled books will also expand their vocabulary and comprehension as they dive deep into books for pleasure and not just for testing. The majority of my students don’t have access to books at home so, being able to take books on their reading level and interest home daily will increase literacy for my struggling readers. Students would be able to select books as if they were in a bookstore fill their book bags and enjoy reading at school and home.
