Luckily, my students have the luxury of having recess. Most schools in Baltimore cut it out of their schedule in order ameliorate the underachievement. However, recess is not productive without the proper equipment; they need things to keep them active in order for it to be effective. Equipment is something lacking at my school, which is why I am asking for these items that will keep them engage in play, and also prevent opportunities for middle school drama.
My students have already used the equipment that I am asking for. I purchased over $200 for these games already. It has been evidenced that they love engaging in these activities. However, I do not have enough for the 63 students that I serve. This is why I am asking for money to keep them busy during their recess time.
Lastly, these products such as spikeball and can jam have already been an effective way to get the kids moving and using recess productively. This is an additional reason why this is important for my students.
