I am teaching Pre-Calculus to underprivledged students intending to go to college. My students are not able to get the full Pre-Calculus experience nor be effectively prepared for college courses without access to graphing calculators.
My students need graphing calculators in order to adequately learn the subject of Pre-Calculus and apply the concepts and properties learned.
Currently, my students are unable to accurately calculate logarithms and trigonometric functions without using scientific calculators. These calculators will allow these students to effectively learn and understand the subject while preparing for life after high school. Having access to these calculators will allow the students to compete with students at other schools who have access to scientific calculators.
