In this day and age, teachers have to compete with shiny new technology to hold their students' attention. These materials will go beyond the simple black and white teacher-created stations and grab their interest as they love to hold, read, and explore the materials that they are learning. This is evident by the task cards that I tape around my classroom. My students think it is so much fun to be able to walk around the classroom and work out problems as opposed to sitting in one spot.
Students learn best when they are able to collaborate and discuss their thoughts out loud with their peers. Hearing a concept from someone other than the teacher really turns on the light bulb for my students. The resources that I have requested will allow my students to do just that.
