Students learn best when they can see it in action. Help me make math meaningful for my students by giving them the tools they need to be successful.
Using Unifix cubes, counting pigs and number balances will help them visualize their problem solving. These hands-on tools will give them an opportunity to act out their mathematical thinking. They can talk about their strategies while showing it with these helpful tools.
They need a way to keep track of their thinking as well. They can do this more effectively with math journals.Using dry erase number lines will help them to see the math they are doing as well.
